Each book on our book shelf was donated by someone in the South Berwick and surrounding communities and has a special place in Aubrey’s heart (and bakery)! You’ll also find the book that was gifted to her by her home economics teacher, Patsy Wagner, when she received the Home Ec. award in high school her junior year. Along with all the other cookbooks Aubrey received over the years and read through while practicing baking and decorating in her at home kitchen while running Baking By Blanchette (her previous business).

Aubrey has spent most of her life in the kitchen alongside her mom, Trudy. From a young age, she learned there was something special about baking. At the age of 14 she successfully started her own at-home cupcake business, Baking By Blanchette. Aubrey went to York County Community College and graduated with her Associates in Elementary Education. While studying she realized her true passion was baking. Her mom always reminded her “you can do anything you set your mind to.” At that moment she changed her goal from becoming a teacher to opening and running a successful bakery. Since then, she has dedicated her days to learning the ins and outs of operating a coffee house and bakery.
Aubrey is beyond excited to share this dream of hers with all of you!
